The Camptown Football Club will be hosting a four-team two-day competition under floodlights as a fund-raising event to enhance their training facility.
The competition is set to kick off at 6pm tomorrow at the Camptown Ground.
The four teams set to participate for the Marlon Hendricks trophy and the top cash prize of $80,000 are the Guyana Defence Force (GDF), Fruta Conquerors, BK International, Western Tigers and hosts Sunburst Camptown.

The second place finishers will have to settle for the first runner-up prize of $40,000 while third and fourth place will be the recipients of $20,000 and $10,000 respectively.

The fund-raiser will be held in memory of former national custodian and Camptown member Marlon Hendricks who died a few years ago.

Both scheduled days of the competition will have a double header. June 5 will see the GDF being opposed by Fruta Conquerors at 6pm and Tigers will clash with homesters Camptown at 8pm while on Sunday June 7 the final and third place playoff will be contested with a 6pm kick-off.

Camptown’s executive body would like to extend its gratitude to the partners who stepped on board with them for this venture namely Guyana Telephone & Telegraph Company (GT&T), Western Union, Banks DIH and Igloo Ice Cream.
