Both teams are playing their second game in the tournament and after losing their first match Old Fort came out guns blazing and ruled the field. The goal hungry Askofu Simon found the back of the net in the eighth minute for Old Fort who went into the second half leading one goal to nil.

The early stages of the second half were evenly poised but the Hikers were always on the attack and they  equalized in the 23rd minute through Roberts France.

Two minutes later, Everest’s prolific striker Jerezeno Bell put his mark on the game with what turned out to be the winning goal.

Old Fort’s John Abrahams, Jason DeSantos and Simon tried everything in the book to pull one back but their efforts were thwarted by the Everest defence and they picked up their second loss in as many matches.
The two sides have another shot at each other when the tournament continues next Friday at the same venue.
