- GDF and Buxton to clash for third

The Camptown Ground will come alive tonight as the final night of competition in the Camptown Football Club organized Camptown Goodwill Series wraps up with what is expected to be an exciting double header commencing at 6pm.

Sunburst Camptown will oppose Fruta Conquerors in the feature battle at 8pm for the top prize of $80,000 and the Marlon Hendericks trophy while the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) will be challenged for third place by Buxton United in the curtain raiser.

BK International Western Tigers who were to initially play GDF for third have opted out of the tournament which opened the invitation for the East Coast team.

The loser of the final encounter will have to settle for the runner up cash incentive of $40,000 while the third and fourth-placed finishers will be the recipients of $20,000 and $10,000 respectively along with trophies.

Meanwhile, in a press release, the executive board of the Camptown Club said it would like to extend its gratitude to the partners which made this venture possible: Cellink Plus, Western Union, Guinness, Igloo Ice cream, Pro Signs, De Sinco Trading and XL Minerals Incorporated.
