Within the week Coach Ramdhani was enlightened about a number of changes to the sport and technical aspects of the game.

“Well I think it was very interesting because with the new scoring system of 21 points for the 15 points it showed us the specific training for that…this includes the fastest way to move on the court using different footwork and racket movements.”

The GOA aims to improve the current coaching styles in order to produce successful athletes and sending coaches to such seminars contribute to the development of high performance athletes in Guyana.

The GOA also recognizes a need for technical development within all sports in Guyana, particularly those which are not as popular as others.

Meanwhile, some of the topics Ramdhani covered in the course to gain the diploma included Methodological Functions of the High Performance Coach, and Principles and Methods in High Performance Sports Training, along with 10 other topics.
