Berbice Football Association

The Blairmont and Burnham Park grounds will come alive this weekend as another round of the Berbice Football Association (BFA) Coca-Cola Senior League Football Tournament continues with five matches.

Action will occur on both sides of the Berbice River as Blairmont ground will see Barzilla clashing with Mahaicony United in a battle of the underdogs tomorrow with a 4:00pm kick off time.

Sunday at 2:00pm the showdown between Real Union and Monedderlust unfolds, then Rosignol United will be opposed by Pistons United at 4:00pm.

Simultaneously, Scottsburg and Strike Force United will collide in the battle of newcomers at the Burnham Park then the skilled Cougars FC and New Amsterdam United will clash at 4:00pm.

An entrance fee of $200 will be charged for football fans to witness Cougars’ Horace Roache and Kurt Bristol backed by custodian Ryan Kellowan take on the likes of leading goal scorer  Adrian “Garnett” Adams who has five goals in two matches.

He will be supported by former under-16 and under-20 players Shurlone Edwards and Hoffman Spencer. The promoters expect it to be an intriguing battle.
