The Social Sciences team which included Kiev Chesney, Godfrey Statia and Marvin Wray was moved into a five point lead by Chesney, minutes into the game.

However, Natural Sciences took the lead which they kept increasing and at half time Natural Sciences led 26-17.  At this point it was unclear which team would win the final as both teams played well  at each stage of the competition.

After half-time it seemed to be all over for Social Sciences with top scorer from the winning team, Hugh Arthur, scoring three consecutive three pointers after half-time to maximize their lead on Social Sciences.

Not much was left to the imagination when the clock displayed eight seconds as all play had stopped from both teams. The game ended 73 -47 to make Natural Sciences victorious. Stryon Obermuller was the top scorer overall with a whopping 28 points followed by Hugh Arthur with 18 points.

Stabroek Sport spoke with Seivewright Benjamin, Sports Coordinator at UG who at the end of the game said  that he was pleased with the performance of each faculty and the organization of the event as a whole. He intended to do something similar with football but owing to un-favourable weather conditions this may not happen.
