The Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf Club will stage a one-day meet on July 12 at the Alness Village, Corentyne, Berbice.

Seven races are scheduled for the meet including four feature events.

According to a release from the organizers, “the  first crop of two-year-olds will be on show in the Guyana and West Indian bred event over 950 metres while the Guyana and West Indian bred three- year-olds will see some new horses facing the starter.”

Other races on the day are the E and Lower, the G and Lower, the I and Lower and the J Class division, all over a distance of 1,200 metres while the division two and three (K and L Class) will be run over a distance of 1,100 metres.

Over $2 million in trophies and prizes will be at stake.

The gates will be open at 1pm.
