The former Alpha United player is absent without leave (AWOL) after leaving the club unexpectedly to play for the Suriname club claims Lumumba.

He told the media yesterday that while any player who wished to be transferred to another club was free to do so protocol must come into play.
He acknowledged that Guyana does not have the economical capability to support athletes nor coaches and said he understood the need by players to look for greener pastures.

The club owner claimed that he had received a letter from the players through the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), who later claimed to have no knowledge of it.

He charged that Abrams should become the subject of a criminal investigation since he classifies the act as a fraudulent one.
Lumumba says he was expecting compensation either by Leo Victor or the governing body for football in Suriname.
Lumumba is advocating a two to three-year ban on Abrams especially considering the nature of his ‘crime’.
