DCB Mini League starts Monday

The Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) has selected three female teams, Toucans, Night Hawks and Harpy Eagles, to compete in the Female Mini League which is scheduled to run from July 13 to July 15 at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary.

Action gets underway in the 50-over tournament at 9:30 hrs each day with Toucans going up against Harpy Eagles on the opening day and Night Hawks the following day, Tuesday, while Night Hawks will challenge Harpy Eagles on the final day.

From these three matches the Demerara team will be selected to play in the upcoming inter-county competition.

The Toucan team consists of Zaheeda Samdally (Captain), June Thompson (WK), Rayana Ward, Naesha Khan, Angina Lalbachan, Latoya Smith, Nalini Sumintia, Donnette Richie, Bibi Zelema Khan, Shameeza Hussain, Ossita Pilgrim, Lashanda Barta and Jocell Joseph.

Harpy Eagles: Davine Sewnarine (Captain), Victoria Bacchus (WK), Resha Khan, Haseena Mohamed, Prudence Williams, Permalle London, Letritra Hyles, Allassa Harry, Sharanda Little, Thessa Cordis, Gailann Griffith, Seron Browne, Geeta Singh and Omadai Singh.

Night Hawks: Alena Parker (Captain), Adrianna Hacket (WK), Darlene Gayle, Renika Issacs, Joann Vansertima, Tameks Keir, Heema Singh, Lashine Toussiant, Shellon Nedd, Melisa Kishun, Raheeya Kahalil,

Cynde Jattan and Kamini Sugrim.
