Seven races including four feature events are carded for today’s one-day horse race meet at the Ryan Crawford memorial Turf Club and Sports facility at Alness Village, Corentyne.

The meet starts at 1.30pm among the key events will be the three year-old evet where over $400,000 will be at stake and the F and Lower race over a distance of 1200 metres where a first prize of $300,000 is at stake.

And for the first time two –year olds will compete over a distance of 950 metres for a purse of $300,000 and the Edward. H. Matherson trophy.
Among the horses expected to be on show today are Peaceful who is the sister of The message,  Celebration Time, GT Rush,  Justice Leroy,  Miss Bounty, Black Shadow, Stormy Water, Face De Music, Finishing Touch, Alphabet Vanessa and Casino Royale.
