And then there were two

- Keisha Jeffrey, Victoria Arjoon crowned squash queens
Guyana started this year’s Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) championships with three squash queens but were left with only two when the curtain came down on the individual competition yesterday in Barbados.

Keisha Jeffrey made light work of teammate Ashley Khalil in the girl’s U-17 final while Victoria Arjoon outclassed Jamaica’s Jessica Perkins in the girl’s U-15 final for her third Caribbean title in as many years
Jeffrey was dominant against her arch rival and won 11/6 11/4 11/1.

She displayed excellent court movement, got to the ball early and struck it with express pace which took Khalil out of her comfort zone and kept her on the defensive.

Jeffrey was also fast onto the ball which she put away with clinical efficiency.
The Guyanese also took home two plate titles through Gabrielle Fraser and Jason Ray Khalil.
But it was in the third place playoffs that the team really stepped up winning six out of the seven matches that they were featured in.
