Samdally to lead Demerara senior female team

Zaheeda Samdally will be the captain of the recently-selected Demerara female cricket team as  the Demerara Cricket Board’s (DCB) Female Mini-league concluded on Wednesday at the Police Sports Complex ground, Eve Leary.

Abenia Parker has been named as Samdally’s deputy while June Thomas has been selected to be the side’s wicketkeeper to compete in the Guyana Cricket Board’s (GCB) Inter-County Tournament that commences on Monday.

They will be opposing the Berbice team at the Blairmont ground on Monday.
The full squad is: Zaheeda Samdally (captain), Abenia Parker, Joann Vancertima, Victoria Bacchuss, Heema Singh, June Thomas, Tracey Glasgow, Prudence Williams, Davanie Sewnarine, Haseena Mohamed, Latoya Smith, Anjanie Lalbachan, Darlene Gayle, and Akaza Thompson.

Nalina Sunintra, Naesha Khan, Latisha Toussian and Donette Ritichie have been named as the standby players.
