KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – A disciplined and chanceless century from opening batsman Anthony Alleyne ensured Barbados drew their third-round TCL Group West Indies Under-19 three-day Cup match against tournament leaders Trinidad and Tobago yesterday.

Trailing T&T by 124 runs on first innings, Barbados produced a stout batting effort on the last day at the Up Park Camp ground and finished on 243 for four with Alleyne undefeated on 102.

For securing first innings points, T&T secured six points to take sole leadership in the championship with 30 points, six ahead of Jamaica and the Leewards with 24 each.
Barbados are fourth on 19.
Alleyne, who was not out overnight on 13, batted the entire day showing tremendous concentration.
He was unbeaten on 34 at lunch with the score on 102 for two.

After lunch he and Raymond Reifer featured in a vital 76-run fourth wicket stand that frustrated the Trinidadians searching for their third win in as many games.

Man of the match Alleyne brought up his fifty in 165 minutes off 142 balls with eight fours and at tea, Barbados were 185 for three.
After Reifer’s dismissal the Barbados captain Jason Holder joined Alleyne and the pair played resolutely to the end, when play was called off at 4:35 pm local time.

Alleyne’s century came in 334 minutes off 278 balls with 14 fours.
Holder batted 92 minutes and was not out on 24 at the end.
Cariah was the most successful T&T bowler with three for 68 off 31 overs with eight maidens.
In the fourth round starting Tuesday, Barbados will play Guyana and T&T tackle the Leeward Islands.
