‘D’ Bimmer Flex West Demerara Twenty20

New Line Cavaliers, McGill Super Stars and West Demerara Mavericks name squads

New Line Cavaliers, McGill Super Stars and West Demerara Mavericks have named their players for Saturday’s Digicel ‘D’ Bimmer Flex promotion Twenty20 tournament at the Uitvlugt Community Centre ground.

Pre-tournament favourites New Line Cavaliers will be guided by Gajanand Singh and feature national batsmen Assad Fudadin and Andre Percival.

The remainder of their team reads: Chubraj Ramcharran, Andrew Lyght Jr., Shien Gittens, Balram Samaroo, Ameer Azeez, Anthony Ifill, Maxwell Fraser, Trevor Benn, Budhan Baksh and Avinash Sookdeo.

McGill Super Stars will be captained by Sudesh Persaud with his supporting cast: Rameshwar Persaud, Jagdesh Balgobin, Balram Aaron, Gancham Harridial, Abdool Razack, Naresh Biddessie, Praharlal Singh, Boodram Sugrim, Chaitnand Shivram, Mahadeo Ramoutar, Richard Sookdeo and Gangaram Lookchand.

The West Demerara Mavericks line-up will come from Doesh Sookhoo, Ganpat Sookram, Julian Williams, Mohenram Chetram, Muneshwar Balgobin (captain), Balbinder Persaud, Timour Mohamed, Amrit Jairam, Yutesh Dhanpaul, Madlall Doodnarine, Yudistir Parbuddin, Azad Azeez, Safraz Karim, Medha Dhanpaul and Dindial Guyadine

The event which is organized by Wild Fire Production would see four teams, Cornelia Ida being the other, competing for the first prize of $100,000 while second place will take home $50,000 along with trophies.

However, according to the organizers, prior to the start of the day’s activity, at 10:00 hours, there will be a supporting game between a Digicel Select XI and Banks DIH.

Digicel Top-up Flex Cards and cell phones will also be on sale at the venue which will give spectators a chance to enter the company’s Summer Flex promotion and a chance to win $100,000 and to enter their draw to win one of two new BMWs (Bimmer).
