J/ca carts off Blind Cricket tourney

Jamaica won this year’s fourth Regional Blind Cricket Tournament yesterday after they defeated Barbados in a close contest at the Providence National Stadium.

Batting first Barbados scored 153-4 in the game which was reduced to 10 overs with opening batsmen Tremaine Forte and Ricardo Manning scoring 42 and 29 runs respectively.

Jamaica replied with 154-5 with Jason Ricketts topscoring with 34 while Loshane Myles chipped in with 20.
Ricardo Manning of Barbados was adjudged Man-of-the-Match.
Earlier, Jamaica defeated Trinidad by 10 wickets.

Batting first Trinidad scored 87-8 with Keith Baptiste scoring 10.
Jamaica in reply scored 88-0 in 9.4 overs with Denol Shim topscoring with 36.
Trinidad’s Keith Baptiste was named Man-of-the-Match.
