The coach said that all of the swimmers except for Fabian Binns were able to bring their times down while they participated at the championships. Binns did not have an entry time before heading into the competition.

Noelle Smith performed well in all of her races which included the 50m breaststroke, 50m butterfly and the 50 and 100m freestyle. Smith knocked off a second or 2 in each of her races.

Henk Lowe managed to set a personal best in the 200m freestyle entering the competition with a time of 2:17:13s. In this race he placed fifth but was able to set a personal best of 2:11:56s. Fraser said Lowe was the swimmer who had prepared well prior to the competition hence the excellent results he produced in the 200m and 400m.

Niall Roberts had a steady performance throughout his stint and improved his time in the 100m freestyle with a time of 55:08s; compared to an entry time of 56:00s.

Commenting on the overall performance Fraser said, “I am very happy with their performance both in and out the pool. They stayed focused on the races and always remembered the purpose for being there.”

In the meantime the athletes are said to be resting after a tedious schedule which included a lot of practice sessions coupled with intense competition.
