The Guyana Under-15 team will oppose the Netherlands Antilles in their final match today in the Four Nation Goodwill Series which is being hosted in Suriname and are  hoping for a shot at the title if they defeat their opponents.
Guyana have to defeat Netherlands by at least three goals and hope that Suriname and French Guiana, who are both on four points, battle to a draw to give them a change at winning the championship. The team from the ‘Land of Many Waters’ is on two points after drawing with French Guiana and the hosts 2-2 and 1-1 respectively.
In Guyana’s last game they led Suriname 1-0 in the second half but Suriname equalized in the 85th minute. Guyana’s goal was scored by Dickyan Vancooten in the 67th minute.
According to a press release, after the game most of the players were saddened because they felt they could have beaten the host.  In the French game, Sherwin Lewis scored in the 38th minute while the first goal was a defense error in the 19th minute. French Guiana scored their goals in the 36th and 70th minutes.
