The Fruta Conquerors and Sunburst Camptown Football Clubs sank their opponents in the semi-finals of the Trix Under-17 Football Tournament at the Camptown Ground yesterday to set up another ‘clash of the juices’ showdown for top honours.

Conquerors devoured Uprising 5 – 0 in an impressive victory where every player pitched in to make it a comfortable win while Camptown got past the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) 6 – 4 in a tough fought battle.

The two victorious teams will now face off in the final of the tournament on Wednesday at the Tucville Playfield at 8pm while GFC and Uprising will battle for third place at 6pm.

Camptown was led by doubles from Akeem Moore and Esan Archibald which shadowed out GFC Lawereso Duresbury who recorded a hat-trick for his team.

GFC trailed 2 – 3 at the end of the first half as Moore (10th) and Archibald, who scored in the 25th and 27th minutes, kept their team on top while Shawn Barrow and Duresbury scored in the 15th and 32nd minutes respectively for GFC.

Romario Andrews in the 49th, Moses Adams in the 66th and Moore in the 77th took Camptown to six goals as Duresbury’s goals in the 51st and 69th accounted for GFC’s four goals.

Meanwhile, Conquerors flattened Uprising as they led 2 – 0 at half time compliments of Eon Alleyne and Travis Savory who scored in the 18th and 27th minutes respectively.

Pernel Schultz scored in the 57th, Alleyne doubled up in the 66th minute and Devon Harvey scored the final goal in the 70th minute for Conquerors.
