Berbice selects squad for inter-county tourney

The Berbice Cricket Board Senior Selection Committee under the chairmanship of Pastor Mark Lyte has started preparation for the upcoming Guyana Cricket Board Inter-County One-day and Four-Day tournaments.

The selectors have called a 35-man squad for training sessions and trial matches and players have been asked to report at the Albion Community Centre ground on August 24 at 10:00 hours with cricket uniform and gear.

West Indies test players Narsingh Deonarine, Mahendra Nagamootoo and Sewnarine Chattergoon along with Royston and Esaun Crandon, Assad Fudadin, Brendon Bess, Devendra Bishu and Veerasammy Permaul head the list of those called to trials.

Missing is national player Gajanand Singh who represented Demerara last year.
The players called are: Jonathan Foo, Veerasammy Permaul, Devendra Bishu, Ranga Lachigadu, Sewnarine Chattergoon, Imran Khan, Narsingh Deonarine, Rajiv Ivan, Homchand Pooran, Yougeshwar Harrinarine, Royston Crandon, Esaun Crandon, Andre Percival, Troy Mathieson, Mahendra Nagamootoo, Delbert Hicks, Anthony Bramble, Sherwin Murray, Eugene La Fleur, Paul Wintz, Quacy Maltay, Brendon Bess, Karamdat Bissoondyal, Arthley Bailey, Keron Fraser, Keon Joseph, Krisendat Ramoo, Keith Fraser, Michael Newland, Michael Saul, Richard Ramdeen, Andrew Williams, Devon Clements, Stephen Latcha and Sanjay Khan.
