Cole returns to top post unopposed

Marlan Cole reclaimed his post as president of Fruta Conquerors Football Club unopposed when the club held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) this past Sunday at the club house in Tucville.

Cole, who chaired the meeting, along with secretaries  Lavern Fraser-Thomas and Candia Shepherd also returned to their posts unopposed, while Ivor Thompson was elected as vice president and Wayne St. Jules,  assistant secretary/treasurer.

The three committee members elected were Doris Leonard, Mrs. Schultz and Gerald Britton and the reports of the secretary and treasurer were presented.

There were also presentations to Pernel Schultz and Duquan Van Cooten  for their achievement in wearing national caps with the Guyana under-15 team that recently competed in Suriname.

The final item on the agenda was elections of office bearers for the next year. At this point the returning officer, Dexter Schultz, took control of the proceedings. The new executive was installed by the returning officer who gave them the charge for their tenure.
