20th Abdullah Hamid Basketball Camp closes

The 20th Abdullah Hamid Foundation basketball summer camp came to a close over the weekend in Linden after almost three weeks.
Approximately 58 children ages six to 18 participated in the programme which thought them the basic of the sport and also had influential persons from within the community giving motivational and intellectual lectures.

According to Hamid who also heads the Linden Amateur basketball Association (LABA) he was impressed with the dedication and willingness shown by the participants.

The former national player and national women’s coach added that most of children have been part of the programme before and also they have made vast improvement as compared to the previous years.

At the last day of the camp, the children both male and female took part in an exhibition game along with other novelty such as the two ball shoot out.
The outstanding players were all presented prizes which included trophies and two lucky participants were given school supplies and uniform.
