Play in the West Demerara Zone of the Demerara Cricket Board/Hand in Hand limited overs second division knockout competition is scheduled to begin today with four games.

In today’s matches Mc Gill will play All Youth at Canal Number Two  Sports Club ground; Gasper United will oppose Independence at La Grange;  Uitvlugt CDC will tackle Uitvlugt Sports Club at Uitvlugt and Cornelia Ida  will come up against  Leonora at Zeeburg.

Premier League teams Zeeburg, Mc Gill Superstars and Canal Number Two Sports Club  have already booked their semi-final spots in the 2009 West Demerara Cricket Association (WDCA)/New Line Aqua Farm limited overs second division competition.

In the Development League, Independence and New Windsor are already through to the  semi finals.

Meanwhile, the WDCA is in the process of preparing its Under-17 players for the Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) under- 17 competition. In this light, clubs are asked to provide the names of their under 17 players to Robin Khan, Lalta Digamber or any other member of the Competitions Committee of WDCA.
