In the feature match of the evening, the homesters treated their supporters to an anxiously awaited victory over their rivals in another ‘Clash of the Juices’ battle.

The showdown was filled with a lot of close chances that could have had either side going ahead but both teams were a bit rusty early on, missing out on numerous opportunities.

Conquerors and Camp-town displayed much of the same performance in the second half as they did in the first with neither team being able to dominate possession. Camptown were the first to make an error and paid for it dearly.

Primo received a ball from midfield and pulled away from Camptown’s back line, with only one defender to get past and with the support of his fellow striker, he shook the defender and released a shot that rocketed off the charging custodian’s palms and made its way into the back of the net.

GFC went ahead when senior national striker, Parks, scored as early as the seventh minute but the game was soon an even game again when Flamingo equalized in the 25th minute through a Seon Peters strike.

The second 45 minutes resumed with the teams still tied on one goal each but Parks stepped it up to score in the 70th minute and complete his double.
