Top tapeball players in action in ten/10 tourney

Some of the country’s top tapeball players will be in action this weekend in the Guyana Tapeball League in collaboration with the Guyana Softball League inaugural companies ten/10 tapeball tournament.

The event takes place at the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) ground on Carifesta Avenue tomorrow and Sunday, and, according to a press release:
“Two exciting days of Tapeball cricket and fun are envisaged.”

The action commences at 9am each day and some 24 teams have indicated interest in participating. Some of the companies fielding teams in the competition will be: Courts, Republic Bank,  Ainlim,  Farfan and Mendes Ltd., Ming’s Products and Services Ltd,  Banks DIH Broadband, NIS, NCN, Ansa Mc Al,  Scotia Bank Ltd., Sterling Products Ltd., Bank of Guyana,  Georgetown Hospital, GTM, Hand-in-Hand, Digicel, GBTI and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport.

The release said that the tournament, “is geared to bring in the office environment as well as unity and goodwill among companies.”

The tournament is sponsored by Banks DIH, Scotia Bank, Courts, Ramchand Bodyworks, NIS, Ainlim and The Trophy Stall, among others.
