Head Coach of Rugby West Indies Joe Whipple has accepted an invitation from the Guyana Rugby GRFU to serve as a Technical Director to the national men’s sevens team.

The GRFU said in a press release that Whipple will work along with Head Coach Laurie Adonis and Manager Robin Persaud.

Eleven countries from around the Caribbean will converge in Mexico for the tournament with the winning team qualifying to represent NACRA along with Canada at next year’s Commonwealth Games.

Guyana are the reigning men’s and women’s Caribbean Sevens rugby champions having won this tournament four years in succession.
