The ninth annual Tony Kissoon Memorial Domino tournament lashed off to a hot start on Monday evening with Arsenal and Meadowbrook Warriors suffering elimination on the first night of action at the Guiness Bar on Durban Street.

In the second match, Exodus won with 89 games with Ministry of Health (MOH) going through with 75 games.

Meadowbrook Warriors were eliminated after only mustering 53 games.

Terrence Alleyne of Exodus marked the maximum 18 games while MOH’s Shelvin Greene scored 17.

Earlier, Specialist proved themselves special by scoring 65 games to edge out Rage on 64.

Arsenal were eliminated after totalling a measly 49 games in six sittings.

The first round continues until tomorrow Spot 7 after which there will be the semi final rounds.

The winner of the competition will pocket $150,000 and trophy while second position will receive $75,000 and third place team will carry home a trophy and $50,000. The fourth place team will pocket $25,000.

The tournament is sanctioned by the Guyana National Domino Federation (GNDF).
