Sumner expects Barbados to be biggest challenge

NASSAU, Bahamas,  CMC – Title-holders Bahamas are eyeing ex-champions Barbados as their biggest threats when they contest the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Bodybuilding Championships this weekend in Grenada.

A 12-member team is set to travel Wednesday for the competition and the Bahamas Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (BBFF) president Danny Sumner believes Barbados will be among the most potent contenders in the championship.

“The biggest rivalry will be Barbados but we are prepared to do it,” Sumner said.

Hosts Grenada, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Aruba and Guyana are among the other teams set to contest the October 1-4 competition.

Multiple CAC medallist James “Jay” Darling and other local standouts Raymond Tucker, Faye Rolle and Donna Williams are in the Bahamas squad, coached by Wellington Sears.
