The round-robin stage of the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) Chubby Under-13 competition concluded yesterday with five matches at the Tucville Playfield.

Yesterday’s matches resulted in wins for Santos, Alpha United, Thomas United and Sunburst Camptown while the other encounter between Fruta Conquerors and Flamingo ended in a draw.

Santos defeated Renaissance 3 – 0, Thomas United needled Uprising 1 – 0, Sunburst Camptown got past Georgetown Football Club (GFC) 3 – 0, Alpha claimed a victory over Riddim Squad via the walk over route and Fruta Conquerors and Flamingo drew 1 – 1.

Orin Yard led the way for Santos with a double scoring in the 20th and 39th minutes. He received support from Job Caesar who tripled the team’s lead in the 59th minute.

Camptown’s Jason Williams drew first blood from a 16th minute strike as they led the first half 1 – 0. Then Azumah Small made his presence felt by recording a second half double, helping Camptown win comfortably.
Trevon Callender was the centre of the match between Thomas United and Uprising scoring the golden goal for Thomas United.

Flamingo struck first in their match against Conquerors in the second half through a Jermaine Fletcher (45th) strike then Ryan Hackett equalized for the opposition in the 54th minute to level the match again with the final whistle approaching.
