We are the Champions! Athletes and officials from Upper Demerara (district 10) could not have hold their emotions after they were announced as the over-all winners of the 49th National School championships, that ended last evening at Albion Corentyne.(Orlando Charles photo)

Upper Demerara/Kwakwani (District 10) was declared the over-all champions of the 49th National Schools Track and  Field, Cycling and Swimming Championships which ended last evening at the Albion Community Development Centre ground, Berbice.
The champs totalled  67 points to permanently stamp their authority after their win last year when the event was held  at the Mackenzie Sports Club Ground.

Their nemesis North Georgetown district 11 came in second with 63 points and Bartica, District Seven, third.
