FIFA Referee Instructor – Peter Prendergast of Jamaica, FIFA Referee Fitness Instructor – Mereree Gonzales of Trinidad and Tobago and FIFA’s Referee Development Officer – Ramesh Ramdan also of Trinidad and Tobago are in Guyana to conduct the course.

The refereeing aspect of the seminar was dealt with at the opening session and will continue until tomorrow.

From Monday, a referees instructor course will be conducted which will be followed by a referee assessor seminar.

At the seminar, referees will be brought to speed with the recent changes and interpretation of the laws of the game. The course is timely according to the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) who has teamed up with FIFA to have the seminar held since local referees, assessors and instructors are gearing up for the annual Kashif and Shanghai Football tournament.
