Timehri Panthers and Grove Hi Tec hammer rivals

Timehri Panthers, led by a Collis Messiah second half double, romped to a comfortable 3-0 win over Mocha Champs when rivalry in the Stag Beer East Bank Football Association (EBFA) Division One League continued Sunday last at the Grove playfield.

Messiah was on target in the 49th and 67th minutes, in the Panthers-controlled game against the former East Bank power house. Opening the scoring for Timehri was Romel Miles after just minutes of play.

In the day’s other match-up, Kuru Kuru Lions were tamed by home team Grove Hi Tec 5-0. Leading the home team was Dominic Garnett with a hat-trick which was achieved within a five-minute span. Garnett rocked the nets in the 59th, 61st and 63rd minute while Orson Francois scored in the 69th and Quincy Tinnie drew first blood in the 25th minute.

More action is slated for this weekend.
