Persaud roars to Guyana Open golf title

Teenage golfer Avinash Persaud is the 2009 Guyana Open men’s champion while Christine Sukhram retained the ladies’ title when the curtain came down on the Power Stout Open Golf championships yesterday at the Lusignan Golf Club.

Other winners included Canadian High Commissioner Francois Montour who won the men’s 10-17 Flight, Ayube Subhan, who won the 18-23 Class and Mark Lashley winner of the 23-28 class.
