‘Playing for Jesus’ Futsal kicks off tomorrow

The second annual Holy Family Bible Study Youth Developers organized Inter-Church/Schools Indoor Futsal Tournament kicks off tomorrow at the National Gymnasium at 9am with a number of matches to be contested.

Over 40 schools and churches will be battling for top honours with several attractive prizes to be won, including a motorcycle and two laptops. Organizers of the tournament dubbed, ‘Playing for Jesus’ is asking all teams to turn up for 8:45am for registration. And a  fee of $200 will be charged per player upon entry of a ten-member squad. According to a press release, the tournament’s objective is to get young people to live a good spiritual life by following godly qualities where all would have respect for themselves and would respect others.

Director of Sports, Neil Kumar and President of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), Colin Klass are expected to be present at the launching of the tournament to make brief remarks.
