West Indies female cricketer Shemaine Campbell starred with both ball and bat as Rose Hall Town Bakewell (RHTB) under-17 team crushed Number 70 by 152 runs at the Number 70 ground in the quarter finals of the Leslie Amsterdam Memorial tournament in Berbice.

Campbell, who recently returned from touring with the West Indies senior female team to South Africa where she played ODI and 20/20 matches versus South Africa and England, played to an attractive 53 before taking 4-48 to complete a brilliant allround performance.

Batting first after winning the toss, RHTB amassed 302-9 declared with Dominic Rickey making 75, Shawn Perreira 60 and Surendra Kissoonlall 25 being the main contributors. Bowling for Number 70 Tamesar Kumar took 3-51 and C. Naurang 2-45.

In reply Number 70 were bundled out for 150 despite a patient 60 from opener Salim Wazir who was the last batsman to be dismissed. Bowling for RHTB leg spinner Campbell, the only female playing in the tournament assisted fellow leg-spinner Perreira (4-45) and off-spinner Loyden Lewis (2-40).
