Fruta Conquerors swamped Uprising 7-0 as the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) DeSinco Under-19 competition continued over the weekend with several matches at the Tucville Playfield.

Conquerors, led by double strikes from Travis Savory and Warren Lawrence devoured their opponents in the lop-sided affair.

All the Fruta Conquerors’ goals were scored in the first half with Paul Bobb putting his team ahead in the first minute before Mikael Permaul made it a two-goal lead in the seventh minute.

Eon Alleyne scored in the 17th minute while Savory scored in the ninth and 24th minutes.

Lawrence was successful in the 11th and 24th minutes.

Over at the Camptown Ground, Riddim Squad needled Flamingo FC in the second match of a scheduled double header while Alpha United gained a walkover from Black Pearl.

Both Flamingo and Riddim Squad played matching football throughout the encounter but at the end of the day it was the team that made the least amount of mistakes which reigned supreme with Amos Ramsey scoring in the 34th minute.

The competition continues tomorrow with a double-header at the Georgetown Football Club Ground from 4pm.
