RRT Enterprises of Regent Street, Bourda will sponsor the penultimate golf tournament of the 2009 season today at the Lusignan Golf Course on the East Coast of Demerara.
Dr. Ram Singh, Vice Captain of the Lusignan Golf Club (LGC) revealed that another large turnout of golfers is anticipated with an estimated 35 golfers expected to tee off.
According to Singh said the course is in excellent condition and golfers can look forward to another exciting tournament.
The tournament will be played under the Medal Play format with prizes being awarded to the top three performers. There will also be prizes for the Nearest to the Pin and the Best Gross winners. Last weekend’s winner of the GT&T sponsored tournament, Ian Gouveia, will be going all out to secure back-to-back wins but will face stiff opposition from the likes of 2009 Guyana Open champion Avinash Persaud, Imran Khan, Joaan Deo, Mike Mangal, Christine Sukhram, Mohanlall Dinanauth and Ayube Subhan.
Also in the line up are Clifford Reis, Patrick Prashad, Esau Shamshudin, Geert Heikens, Lester Alvis, Chatterpaul Deo, Melissa Humphrey, Jerome Khan, Maurice Solomon, Brian Hackett, Munaff Arjune, Mike Guyadin, Francois Montour, Bruce Cummings, Roy Cummings, Andre Cummings, William Walker, Mel Sankies, Kasim Khan, Bolaram Deo, Dr. Ram Singh, Mark Lashley, Alfred Mentore, Carlos Adams and Albert Semple.
Representatives of RRT Enterprises have been invited to assist in the presentation of prizes at the end of the tournament.
