National cricketers to break for Xmas Wednesday

The national cricketers will take a break for the Christmas holidays on Wednesday afternoon following the conclusion of the first three day practice match organized by the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB).

The selectors have picked two sides to engage in a three-day match beginning tomorrow at the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ground in Queenstown from 9.30am and manager of the Guyana team Carl Moore told Stabroek Sport that Wednesday afternoon the players will break for the holiday to return on January 2.

Moore also informed Stabroek Sport that the players will be given programmes to work with.

Meanwhile, the following players have been selected to participate in tomorrow’s three day match at the Guyana Police Force Sports Club ground, Eve Leary.

The Guyana team (from) Sewnarine Chattergoon, Rajendra Chandrika, Assad Fudadin, Vishal Singh, Royston Crandon, Dion Ferrier, Derwin Christian, Esaun Crandon, Verasammy Permaul, Devendra Bishoo, Trevor Benn and Brandon Bess.

Rest Team (from) Shemroy Barrington, Christopher Barnwell, Leon Johnson, Gajanand Singh, Steven Jacobs, Wasim Haslim, Totaram Bishun, Anthony Bramble, Andre Stoll, Steven Latcha, Keyron Fraser, Trevon Garraway and Krishna Arjune.
