Reece rewarded by Berbice businessman Rajaram

Sixteen year old cyclist Neil Reece, the country’s tope juvenile cyclist, has been rewarded for his outstanding performances at this year’s national five stage cycling event held last month.

In picture above, manager of J and N Supermarket and taxi Service, Satesh Rajaram, hands over the cheque to Reece while coach Randolph Roberts looks on.

Reece, who is also the captain of the Flying Ace Cycle Club, was the recipient of a monetary donation from Satesh Rajaram, a Berbice businessman. Rajaram has decided to reward the cyclist for the dedication, hard work and commitment he has shown.

He also encouraged the young cyclist to keep his focus and to continue to be a role model to other young cyclists.

Meanwhile, the Fling Ace Cycle Club said in a press release that it would like to thank the many sponsors which supported its endeavours in 2009 adding that it was looking forward to continued support in the new year.

Among some of the sponsors are Waterchris Hotel, Ganesh Singh and Brothers Logging and Sawmill, Kings Jewellery World, A. Ally and Sons, Triple `S’ Taxi Service, Spready’s Bakery, Stretch de Dollar, Franco Crawford, the Guyana Police Force, Bounty Chicken Farm and others.
