  1. so who is dept comm. of police??

  2. LINDENBANNA UNITED STATES says:

The president has scripted his songbook, and the orchestra is all assembled, it is now up to the people to dance.

  3. Andy UNITED STATES says:

Okay! Now, let the police get on with the business of 1) investigating corruption in government, 2) bribe-taking police officers, 3) drug smugglers doing brisk and big business across the borders and in the capital (only to wind up getting caught OVERSEAS), 4) gun runners, 5) money launderers who are into new or expanding businesses to which many attribute socioeconomic is development taking place, 6) building new houses, 7) buying new cars and 8) any and all criminal activities to which the government and police officials previously turned a Nelson’s eye.

It certainly can’t be true that Guyana’s only menacing criminal elements are those demented criminals armed with powerful weapons gunning down innocent people ine the name of whatever spurious cause. There are those who are putting a hurting on our economic well-being that need serious prosecution.

Second, I can only hope that with the confirmation of Henry Green as top cop and these few promotions mentioned above that the government does not believe it has conviced the nation it has completed the reformation of the police force, or else this would be just another sham.

It’s also time for the President to stop ordering criminal probes into clear criminal cases. Let the LAW take its course and justice be done and be seen to be done!

Finally, it remains a matter of striking curiosity that top cop Henry Green and his boss, Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee, are the only Caricom officials with the two job related titles who hold the dubious distinction of having their US visas revoked. Perception matters, but not to the Jagdeo government!

viewed by Washington and members of the Public as the
