Two new PPP/C MPs

Reverend Kwame Gilbert and Dr. Vishwa Mahadeo were sworn in as PPP/C parliamentarians when the National Assembly convened yesterday, occupying two seats that had become vacant at the beginning of the year.
Speaker of the National Assembly, Ralph Ramkarran announced that Dr. Henry Jeffrey resigned from the post of Minister of Foreign Trade and International Cooperation as of January 1, 2009 while former Minister of Housing and Water, Harrinarine Nawbatt also tendered his resignation.
Ramkarran also informed the assembly that PPP parliamentarian Mohamed Irfaan Ali has been appointed the new Minister of Housing and Water.

These are only two people, for your benefit of course. The illegal PNC regime had five vice presidents, hangers on doing nothing. Then a series of ministers without portfolio. Meaning these people are on salary, with nowhere to go. Also doing nothing. What do you say to this? Get real.

It is amazing how our ignorance can betray our initiative and ideology, the appointments of 2 newcomers to parliament creates a higher grade of thinking power being fortified with youth and experience.Their participation in the elaboration and processing of bills will have impact on the GUYANESE population and absolutely have no political vinculation whatsoever, so why must we betray our own thoughts making such erroneous statements that it is politically afiliated? We can do better
    god bless
