I am with the masses………. kick Green to the curb…………. with the garbage that’s stinking up the city. Let him do volunteer work after his timely exit to pay back for his lack of enthusiasm during his mayorship of Georgetown.

although i believe that the mayorship of georgetown should change periodically,getting rid of greene would only change little, just look at who in in the lineup, old pnc stalwards and has beens, the govt will continue to starve much need funds to the council(as they did with greene) because they are not in full control of the running of the city, hence the stagnation and beautification of georgetown, piles of gabage continue to thrive in a once picturesque scenery,its all about political power play(HYPOCRACY)a fight for the prize,the ppp behaving like a spoilt child, if they cannot win the mayorship they will withheld funds for the city, if they win the city will be beautified and will be used as propoganda for the next elections, whilst the guyanese people suffer.

Yes, by all accounts the mayorship will go to the PNC. Then what????
The PPP is still the boss!!! The Local Government minister is still the ‘born and die PPP son”!!! Who says ANY NON-PPP mayor will go anywhere? Green should be gone, no argument there, but 3 years after a PNC mayor is elected GT will still stink!! Pay closer attention to Green’s comment!!! The PPP’s aim is for an IMC, their boy will be interim mayor, they will call the shots, they will ENSURE that their boy look good! THEN THE MINISTER WILL CALL ELECTIONS AGAIN, REMEMBER HIS POWERS THAT WERE CAMOUFLAGED BY OTHER ISSUES THAT WERE RAISED!!! THEN THE PPP WILL WIN GT. You know what? I do not see any opposition in power come 2011, THEY ARE ALL JUST TOO INCOMPETENT to be a viable alternative. I am on the outside but I AM LOOKING IN!!!

So Green has been readmitted into the PNCR , now this is a joke , he never had a good reputation since way back then , he can’t keep the city clean , now he’s back in the pncr . Why can’t this man resign and go rest his old bones , he’s done enough damage to the country already .
How can the country have any hope in the PNCR , when all they’re doing is gathering old bones !
What happen to new , younger people with better and brighter vision for the country ? eh ?

He should not be there the condition of the city is bad and he is not doing anything so it is fair to say remove him and give someone elsa a chance guyana have young educated ppl that would do a lot better if given the position.

As a man of God you need to support the Government of the day…I still do not believe that there are so much honest people out there and so much extra dollars so that people will willingly pay tax up to date and upfront…What I do know is that the City Council has rules and laws for default taxpayers and bad dumping on garbages, so all they need to do is to enforce the laws to get their revenve to manage the city,,,Who is failing here to make sure the funds are collected me? you? or Green?

Green is an extension of the PNC, a rabid failure! GT has gone to the dogs since Green has been in power. He has exceeded his five terms! He needs to get out and get out quickly. Green has a had a field day, since the government has been spending so much on GT, doing works that the mayor and city council should be doing. It is time for him, like Corbin, Clarke and the rest of old heads to move on. It would be great to see hired professionals run GT. Come on GT folks vote for a non politician to run the CITY. Hire yourself a bright young professional or a shrewd businessman and watch your city transform.
