Congratulations to you Mr. Darren Jordon for been given the opportunity to witness the greatest and most important day in American history, seeing an African-American being sworn-in as the President of the United States. As they said that a black man could and would never become the president of this country. Well, President Obama showed the world that he could and would break that barrier and I am so proud.
Darren enjoy your trip and best of luck in your future endeavourments son.

In defence to Sandhurst’s note. At least his immediate family (if he has any) will be well taken care of (in terms of death benefits). I am sure president guards’ family won’t get much if they die in the line of duty. Also, a man can dream. Can’t he?

That’s great that guyana will be represented at the Inauguration , congrats to young Jordan .

Obama is the the right person the U.S needs to bring them out of the mess they’re in . African Americans and those world wide have all the reason to be proud of this occasion .

One advice though, guyanese young men should emulate obama and learn from him and maybe , just maybe , guyana will have less thieves and more men with dignity & self respect !
