The Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development recently donated a boat and engine to the Region Ten administration to boost transportation services.
According to a Government Information Agency (GINA) press release Minister Kellawan Lall handed over the key to Deputy Regional Executive Officer Yolanda Hilliman.
Lall said the donation will boost the region’s capacity to execute its programmes including the maintenance of buildings and infrastructure and aid in the delivery of health and education services.
Meanwhile Hilliman gave assurances that the machines will be used for their intended purposes.
GINA said Regional Health Officer Dr Pansy Armstrong and Principal Regional Development Officer Aretha Henry also attended the ceremony.

What is the purpose of the boat, to do what?
amen-ra I don’t no but you are very unreasonable. You don’t know when and where you will need a boat in Guyana. As a matter of fact boats are sold in Miami cheep and sweet for a few thousand dollars. So I would advise Guyanese to secure some of these boats that are returned to the boat basin in Miami to secure some boats for flood emergency in Guyana. -ra we need more boats in the out lying areas. This is no joke……next xmas Mr. Clause may arrive on a boat…
