Lynch, at the time of his death, was the production superintendent at the Guyana Chronicle.

Police had said in a release that they were investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s death and were awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination.

Around 4.30 am ranks of a mobile police patrol found motor car PFF 8518 turned turtle and submerged in a trench at Happy Acres. On checking they found the body of Lynch trapped in the driver’s seat.

According to reports reaching this newspaper, several motorists passing the area had noticed the upturned vehicle but no one stopped to see if anyone was inside.

By the time the police arrived, about one hour after the mishap had occurred, Lynch whose head was submerged was already dead.

This was never the Guyana I knew. How sad and cruelly sophisticated, how modern and heartlessly barbaric we have become.

…”modern”?…the story of the priest and the levite who passed the wounded man on the road is ancient…

    • Ghost UNITED STATES says:

Hey Vatican, the same person who saw the vehicles passing and not rendering assistance ….is the one who should have rendered assistance. That person is even more cruel than the persons who passed in vehicles because it could have been that they didn’t see the car.

I pray those who turned away without assisting would not suffer the same faith in the future. Raymond was a good guy, I knew him personally.

I read yesterday the body was left outside the refidgerator and start decomposing, how can ppl do this???????
To those that turn without rendering any assistance, it could be you or a love one and ppl do the same….Hope you don’t cry your heart out when your turn comes.
This reminds me of the bible paranble of the jew and the samartan

  4. The things people do are pretty messed up.. My grandmother who died Last year may, suffered a stroke in berbice was taken to New amsterdam hospital and the nurses and staff just left her like that.. she developed bed sores and all she wasnt being fed or anything until we sent down money to get her sent down to a hospital in georgetown ( St Josephs ) they took good care of her.. but it was too late.. Died two days later.. Thats why my mom always says no matter how bad the patient is or whatever she will take care of them.. and god forbid if she was in the same position as they are she wouldnt want to be neglected or treated bad..

It was very sobering to read that a motorist shamelessly admitted he passed the upturned car in the ditch but did not stop to investigate. I would not like that person to find himself in a similar position but I hope he/she reflects. Can you believe several motorists passed him by? This is not the Guyana I know.
Another matter of concern is that body was left out of the refrigerator for about three days and decomposition had started.
How negligent, hard hearted, unfeeling and unsympathetic can one be to leave that body to decompose? The people who did that have no conscience
    .
Where were his relatives? Didn’t they pay someone to take care the dead or make proper arrangements? How long did it take them to hear of his death? The people who are gulty of how the body was handled have no shame. May they be justly rewarded
