Firstly,Arnold is right.When it was Mrs Jagan,the opposition blabbers remarks were simply stupid & they would have ‘bad talk’ if she had gone abroad for treatment.Now it’s Mr Corbin you detect their hypocritical side.Sincerely wish Mr Corbin recovers well.A point to note:Mr H Green as prime minister could have been seen jogging middays from his wrights lane office along the seawalls(accompanied by his body guards & car alongside)on his way home.It’s the best thing that Mr Green ever did.

I am very disappointed with the news written about Mr Corbin also in the Chronicle. Please read Guyana Times – the story was will written, well said. All the Guyana Times focus on was the present status of Mr Corbin and that is important.
Was it important at this time to mention the long epical since he took office and who coming and going. Cde. Corbin held a High Office and should be treated with some respect – Like Rulebaby 4 said Mr corbin is a fighter and he will be back as Leader of the Opposition no doubt. Get well Sir. Moderator I notice you have my comments on hold or maybe forgotten to publish it.

if MR. Corbin has got the ressources to go to the U.S.A for treatment so be it and i think a heart bypass surgery was preformed in Guyana recently at the public hospital so there is hope for the small man because the guy that recieved that surgery was someone poor if i am not wrong

Hi “Guy123″! It goes way back to Circa 1939 -1945 following the establishment of the U. S. British Guiana Base Command where my dearly departed father served as a First Aid Man with the then U. S. War Department. When soldiers are wounded in battle sometimes it is necessary to have the “medic” close to the “theater”!!!

One very sad and disturbing note however from personal experience; is that when my father was stricken we were denied urgently needed “transportation” (on racial grounds) in order to seek medical attention and this is one of the reasons that a small “medical facility” will be dedicated to him in a certain East Coast Demerara village in the very near future – land already acquired.

And, yes; L. F. S. B. was indeed “a real die hard” and the rationale for the suggestion for the L.F.S.B. Memorial Hospital in Guyana; and, it is quite certain that there would be lots of Guyanese medical professionals serving around the world who will be quite willing to give something back to the country of their birth.

Kaieteur Gold, Guyana is too a poor country to achieve a level of health care, that is “second to none in the rest of the world”. It has seen a continual hemorrhaging of its academics. The majority of them are living permanently in the US, Canada and the United Kingdom. We should be thankful for the role the private sector is playing in health care and diagnostic work, if not the situation would have been bewildering. Highly skilled medical doctors, surgeons etc. and diagnostic equipment come at a hefty price (US$1=G$204.). I wish the situation could be better but I do not fore see this in my life time.

Great suggestion on becoming a “vegetarian.”
I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 13 years old, my wife became one months before we got married. No regrets on this move, we’ve benefited greatly. I’d like to believe that Good health is the foundation for all happiness.
