This man was my grandfather’s cousin. It is so sad that this sort of thing happens at all, much less than to people who know the person. It seems a lot worse when you have a connection to the person in print.

How many more must die before people understand the seriousness of drinking and driving ? please let’s work together and get rid of the curse of drunkeness once and for all , in this generation.

Iam a New York driver and the law here for drinking and driving is zero tolerance.

The law provides for 35 microgrammes of alcohol to 100 milliliters of breath and 80 milligrammes of alcohol to 100 milliliters of blood. The law also stipulates that in the event of an accident, a person in hospital may only submit to a breathalyzer test in the event of certain circumstances, except where a registered physician deems that it would be prejudicial to the proper care and treatment of the person.

The above is word for word how it is written in your article. It don’t make sense to me beginning from ‘The law stipulates …..
………. .treatment of the person. – Shouldn’t it be that a person “must submit ……
…..treatment of the person”???

Hope the new law is implemented, and respected, as soon as possible.
By the way SN, could you clarify “if an accident occurs on the road as a result of the driver of a vehicle..”?
