What is one sided about this article? Govt rents place from men. Govt does not pay rent. Men blocks place. Govt police brings criminal charges when matter should be taken to civil court. Again, what is one sided about the reporting. What is one sided is the police and you, gtbeat.

How could this be obstruction of public way when the building is a private building?

This is just one of the many reasons why people leave Guyana permanently! No laws are being upheld to protect the people! How can people live peacefully in a country where you can’t even get government or quasi-government organisations to honour contracts as simple as rental agreements without being intimidated. Just pay the brothers! You shouldn’t have your workers occupying premises for which you don’t pay rent. Absolutely disgusting and diabolical. JUST PAY THE BROTHERS THEIR RENT AND LEAVE THEM ALONE IN PEACE. STOP BULLYING AND INTIMIDATING THEM.

The KING has not spoken on this matter. It is obvious that the state is using the police and courts to punish these people. Rent is due so pay the landlord has the right to change the locks and do whatever he wants with his property. BUT THIS IS GUYANA IF YOU ARE NOT “CONNECTED” YOU FEEL THE FULL BRUNT OF THE STATE.
