shervington, you want govt. to teach people to swim? guyana has lots of trenches, rivers and canals and people are stupid if they don’t learn to swim.

The Abarycreek desaster was a total wase of life.very sad and heart breaking,but complete negligents of all concerned.
parents,and the education departments. every one from the age of five must be able to swim 25yrd, fully clothed,it must be a part of our education,as it is in England.having said that and reflecting over my own life in Guyana, I must ask the goverment to take some of the blame,for not implementing the facilities.I lern to swim,in East St trench,then 40ft.trench then Robb stelling.Pools must be available for our kids to learn,or we will be guilty of the Abarys of the fucture.
