When will you guys stop the drug trafficing when? You just make it harder for the others leaving caricum countries to enter US,CA. I totally agreed with the officials to put them in prison and deport them out of the country….you guys do not learn. Putting all jokes aside its getting more and more frequent. Guyana is the new Colombia for drugs trafficing, it so ridiculous that the government is not even acknowledging the fact that Guyana is so easy to smuggle drugs. Its not only Guyanese. The Canadians, the Americians also finds it easy to conceal drugs in their suitcase when travelling from Guyana. There is definitely a breakdown of security at the airport in Guyana, and the government need to do something, they seem not to care at all about the country’s name being branding about on the world stage. Pain, simply because the ones involve in the drug trade do want to make the sacrifices and enter the dungeons of higher learning.There is no way you can equate the opportunities in Guyana with the USA.It is like night to day.

There are numerous doors open here for one to persue a college degree, a trade or a profession but there are demands of burning the midnight oil.Some ,however,prefer to utilise their free time in the chase of parties and other frivolities.

Most of Guyanese who migrated during my time have made tremendous sacrifice to realise their dreams.We left the shores of Guyana with a vision,a work ethic and great values imparted onto us by our parents and teachers of the time.Unfortunately,now,there is no vision.values,nor impetus to surpass their parents acheivements.

If one has the opportunties to better himself or herself through hard work and does not take it is not an indicment on the country that person resides in but on the individual himself.It is simply a matter of CHOICE.They have chosen and should recieve the maximum jail time if convicted.
