Andy, Jagdeo actually quoted that USD1Billion which Guyana would earn, once up to R-Plan scratch. I am thinking here that maybe he was looking over at the Brazilian deal and salivating, or maybe it was the powers that be, that sort of threw out Brazil as an example of what Guyana can get while sneaking winks at each other)

I say, if it's not oil, it's the Marriot project, and now it's dear old Carbon Credits.

The question... is the President of Guyana trying to get a bite of that carrot the rich are periodically dangling in front of him as bait and empty promises, is he that naive, or is it that he is the one who is the carrot dangler to Guyanese?

Either way, inquiring minds have a right to know.

Wazzup Mikey, I have not been blogging much lately because my old lady threw me into the dog house for blogging too much and not doing my house chores. I was unable to set up my rooftop vegetable garden because as you know it was cold and raining constantly in the middle of June.

I however managed to stick a few flowering plants around the yard so my old lady gave me a few "carbon credits" which I am now using up for blogging. LOL

Check out this article about the carbon credit scam.

Extracted: "The World Bank has approved the readiness plans (R-Plans) for Guyana and Panama, opening the way for both countries to tap grants of up to US$3.6 million for preserving their forests."

Comment: Last month, the World Bank gave Brazil US$1B!!!!! Guyana is slated to get US$1.8M!!!!! OMG!!!! And Jagdeo is looking for US$580M a year!!!! If this is how we are starting out, then may God help Guyana, cause there is no way we can collect what Jagdeo is looking for at this rate. What a scam indeed is this climate change push!!!

Agree with you 100%. And here is where I am thinking that things could get a little funny here and the entire thing could blow up in their faces.

Seeing that they are trading carbon credits on the market now only in Chicago, what if demand outstrips supply? That would mean that the polluters will have run out of carbon credits to buy which would mean back to square one, the enviromenatalists (the real ones) would start screaming blue murder and the entire system will have failed.

My answer to that scenario is one good piece of advice to the Guyana govt. Do not temper your mining industry, which by the Brazilian border seems to be showing at least a little life now, to fit this international hair-brain scheme, insist upon your money up front and try not to give these guys too much credibility and at least negotiate contracts that we can back out of if some people do not keep up their end of the bargain.

Meanwhile, it would be nice to hear the full, line-item budget of the project that Jagdeo is going to embark upon to get Guyana up to R-plan scratch and to whom or whose company the money was going to be paid out to.

Here are a few guidelines to consider before buying into this climate change scam. It is the next finance bubble they are creating.

If any foreign bank, a multinational corporation or foreign institution is involved in this proccess their first consideration is mega profits and not preservation of any kind. We need to get this fact clearly imprinted into our native brain cells.

When Al Gore -the pitchman for this latest Ponzi scheme- was asked why was he consuming eleven times the amount of energy of the average household to energise his 22 room town house, he replied that he was considering the use of solar energy and besides he was buying up carbon credits.

What he did not reveal was that he owned the company that he bought the carbon credits from. These folks are selling carbon credits like stocks on the trading market. They have securitized and packaged a useless gas. This should come as no surprise afterall they have been creating money out of thin air. These guys have the cunning and wherewithal to dress up and sell you a dead horse for profit.

The way this scam will work is that if you do not earn enough carbon credits you will need to purchase some on the open market to meet your minimum requirement.

They are giving these grants to make it look like easy giveaway money, but once this scheme gets rolling, they will skim off their profits from the front end, by the time these bird brain third world leaders realize they have been taken it will be too late for the taxpaying public. Gotcha again Sucker.
